Sterling ring and my first walking half liberty

Well, I found my first and only mercury dime in a lake, and now my first and only walking liberty half came out of a lake also, 1942! This is a very unique spot where you can't hardly utilize a scoop, it's much faster to use a vibra-probe and feel with your fingers for the target.
The oldest of the six wheat pennies tonight was 1940, nickel was 1949. Got a 1920 wheatie on the last trip here.
The silver ring is marked "sterling", so I reckon it's an oldie too, the third one marked sterling from this spot now. The pendant has gotta be an oldie too, can't imagine it being modern.

Only hunted for about an hour, gonna hit it again in the a.m. unless it storms. Just before getting outa the water, one of the drunk girls that was closeby in the water said her gold ring just flew off in the water, 14k white gold with a couple tiny diamonds. Looked briefly for it, with no luck, I told them I'd be back in the morning to look for it.

Congrats on the Half...a great find....Ring is a nice recovery...kinda plain...think something is gone or come off the face?...GL, there might be a silver dollar out there next!...

That pendant is awesome. Never seen one like it. The ring looks like a signet ring. Does it have initials in it. The picture looks like it has a "J" in the middle. If its a silver signet, you can usually find gold signets in the same area. Looks like you have a GREAT spot to hit. I sure hope you have a lot more success there. Good luck.

One word of advice. Don't believe all the lost ring stories youi hear while your detecting. If they really lost something they will give you their name and number. I will tell people if I come across it I will gladly call them but sometimes people are just plain ignorant and will feed you bull.

Yeah, the I think it's a lower case g on the ring face, very lightly engraved, weighs just over a half ounce. 10-4 on the bull.
