Sterling medal & Razor blade holder I think?

INCH

New member
I was told the medal was a marksman medal, has sterling stamped on the back, found it about 4 inchs down with a jumpy number signal(76to81)did an air test and got the same result.. My buddy said the they do not make them in silver any more. Got one wheat penny, about 40 cent clad and I guess a razor blade container. It has schick stamped on the top cap and a patent date may 1926 on the bottom, U can c it in the pic next to the medal,it is about 2 inchs long, I thought it was a lipstick thingy for women , but my buddy said blades. I say it again . Ive been metal detecting for a little over 10 months and 99 percent of my finds have been less then a mile from my home, most only a few blocks from my home and that to me is

Went to the Beach on Friday with my AT Pro and all I found was clad. Quite a bit of it $5.45. I was hoping for gold, Oh Well.

Went out this morning for my Saturday before Coffee hunt. I hit a park that LJ my hunting buddy hit with his MXT yesterday. He says he got $3.50 on the Grassy knoll that overlooks the baseball field.

It was freezing cold this morning, about 51 or 52. That is cold for the California Desert in July. I needed a sweat shirt. Anyway I started searching the grassy knoll with my pro in the pro mode zero, zero discimination. Found a couple of coins. Then I dug a plug that had 5 quarters and a nickle, then I dug another one that had 5 nickles and a dime, then I dug another plug that had two quarters, then another with 2 quarters and a dime, then another with 9 coins totaling 95 cents, 2 quarters 2 dimes 4 nickles and 5 penny's. What a crazy day. All in all I found about $8.56 and 4 Diebold Safe keys in less than 1.25 hrs. I was excited like a little kid. That is what makes this hobby fun. It brings back the kid in all of us and I'm 66 years old. My Hunting buddy LJ is 80.

I have yet to strike gold with my Pro. I have gotten 3 silver rings, 6 silver coins and about $150.00 in the month that I have had it. So this month I'm at $105.66 in clad.

Good Luck & Happy Hunting

Go gettim sparkster. looks like a busy morning for you .I woudnt even worry to much about finding the gold . Detecting does bring out the Kid in us all and there is no escape. I have a passion for this hobby and its slowly revealing itself, like taking the paper cover off of a lollypop and enjoying it all.
