Sterling Day

Well despite some more issues with my newly aquired EX II, I was able to recover these two goodies today. The fresh water caged pearl pendant was found at a beach near Monroe Michigan. The sterling ring was found at a local park near my home in Farmington MI. My wife has claimed both. I am not sure what to do with the EX II at this point. Minelab says it is going to cost a bunch to fix. I bought it off e-bay with no returns. I have only had it a few days. Besides the battery level indicator being broke again, the detector does not have a stable threshold or pinpoint mode. But it does find stuff.

Nice finds. so you detector is acting up even more? That sucks. What is it doing exactly with the threshold and pinpoint?

I have decided to just keep the EX II going until the end of the season unless it breaks down entirely. At that point I will send it in the Minelab to have it overhauled. I love this machine aside from the issues.

Well youve made some decent finds already regardless of the issues, I was wondering what kind of batteries you were using. Although maybe a long shot but it crossed my mind if lithuim batts were used maybe those would cause some issues or least thats what I heard once. Either way, hope it works out for you. Its still a nice machine, I bought one as well the same time you did even though I have an SE pro but I got other plans for it soon.

I'm using the RNB lithium ion batteries on mine with no issues (since the other problem has been solved).
