Static AM on F75 LTD?

Cal_Cobra

I used to read a few posters when the original F75 was released that were finding static AM mode to be ultra deep on their F75's.

Has anyone tried using it in boost mode on the F75 LTD? Anyone want to share their findings at depth using static AM in boost mode?

I have a spot I'd like to try it, but it's a lot different animal then any mode I've ever tried before. It sounds kind of like the F75 is stuck in pin-point mode.

Thanks!
Brian

PS - Any tips on using static AM mode would be greatly appreciated, as I've mainly been a disc user :detecting:

Dont know about that static mode yet,I try it tomorrow ,maybe here in mi. the ground can be a little more foregiving, geezz Brian I thought you were the guru on the F75LTD..LOL:confused: I am sure you will get it,let us know!!

Brian I will try that mode soon if it will cool down to about 90 degs. here in Ga.......lol.....hh.......Dan

Guru...not by a stretch. I've tried static AM mode a few times while hunting piles of dirt, but really need to try it for deep turf hunting. I'll try it out Wednesday and see how it works.

Yep Brian let us know......I tried it a few months back for a little while If I remember right it was noisy but hey I've learned to put up with a little noise like high sens....0 disc. lol you know what I'm talking about hh.....Dan

Tried it a little this moring before the rain where I have already pounded my own yard.....but I was thinking back I'm pretty sure I was using sta am when I found a clad quarter at 10 inches it was a steady hum and confidence indicator was several bars when I sweep over it.
, quiter, than I remembered this morning.....95 sens.......it will work fine.......hh.....Dan

I haven't tried it on my F75, but I have heard for Civil war relic hunting it is KILLER. Will find the real deep stuff. I may try it out next time I go hunting. I would guess you would move the coil ultra slow and listen to any deviations. Thats alot of noise, but if it will pick up a seated dime or 2 at 10 inches I would greatly appreciate it.

There was a guy that I haven't seen post here for quite a while now, that said he was getting 14" coins with static Am mode on his legacy F75. He loved it, said it was the deepest thing he'd seen...I plan to hit a little area that a lot of oldies have come from and try scanning the same patch of ground trying a few different mode on the LTD, should be interesting and hopefully I can eek out one more old silver.

wow 14 inches is very good I wish someone with a test garden would go out and do a little experimenting in sta am mode and report back to us.......hh.....Dan

Good idea Dan[test garden]I have one at a friend of mines house. I will try a few things and post back

Good Rick,Let us know....Thanks ....hh......Dan
