State of New York MD Laws?

New member
Does anyone know what these are and what areas are restricted? I recently moved to NY for medical school from Arizona so I'm unfamiliar with the laws. Any help or a point in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

Ive been looking online but still havent been able to find any info about this. Any people in the ny area that would know?

I have been detecting in Plattsburg,N.Y.and the surrounding area for over 20 years and have yet had anyone say anything to me.
There are countless little villages that date back 200-300 years with swimming holes, parks, camp grounds, summer cottages and the list is endless that have never been detected...Remember,,,ASK WHO OWNES THE LAND,,,ask for permission to search and you will be well rewarded with what comes out of the ground....

Thanks for the adivce guys. I'm on break from school right now so I thought I would do the necessary research of the area before I start.

That would only apply to state land, not other venues, like city or county. And even once you click on the FMDAC state's list, a lot of states will just be vague like "check at each park kiosk as you enter" etc.... Leaving it really up to common sense (ie.: don't hunt obvious historic landmarks).
