Starting To Bond With LTD

Well, my plan to leave my CZ at home for the last two weeks is starting to pay off. I have been using the LTD or nothing at all lately. Today, in a farmhouse yard I had a perfect day. I started early and found all of this in about an hour and a half. I was happy with these finds but plan to go back and hit the rest of the yard. I started out with the dateless SLQ. My next target was the small silver ring. It is marked sterling and it was a battle to find it amongst a lot of iron. The LTD locked on the sweet sound and high vdi but kept bouncing to lower numbers and iron. I was running the five inch and it sniffed that little ring out from five or six inches deep. The Indian was a perfect lock and came out from about five inches. The awesome stirrup bounced 50 cents to a dollar and was nine or ten inches deep. I could make sense of what I was seeing in the hole or getting from the pinpointer. I eventually just pried it loose and was pleased to see the stirrup come to daylight. I was running BP, sensitivity of 75, disc of 6, and four tone. If anyone can help date the stirrup, please let me know.

Great finds Don! Good job with the 5" DD coil! I found a stirrup with my F75 LTD also. Unfortunately, mine was made of iron and not nearly as nice looking as yours.

Very nice finds Don. Funny, I left my cz3d at home, too, when I got my first F 75. Glad I did. HH jim tn

Good going Don......hh......Dan

Very nice finds Don, looks like you have a great spot and you're definitely getting into your F75 LTD!!

I use a CZ-70 (and the F75 LTD) and I find them to be a great complimentary pair of detectors, with one often finding stuff the other seems to miss. I really don't think the LTD is any deeper then the CZ-70, and sometimes it's nice to take the CZ-70 out when you just want a nice quite ride. The CZ is also a good backup if you get a spot with EMI the LTD can't handle, the CZ's seem to be much more immune to EMI then the F-series for whatever reason.

At any rate, you have a great 1-2 punch combo there, I'd hang onto your CZ, I think you'll find it's a great partner to the LTD
