Went to get gas, bought a couple of lottery tickets(first time in a long time) and went out to a few schools (it's been raining for almost 3 weeks straight) and didn't expect to find much with my Silver umax. I was scratching off the tickets while filling the tank and lo and behold I won enough to pay for my gas! Found a few coins, charms, and EYEBALLED the dollar on the ground at a school that I almost drove by because the grass was almost knee high. Thanks for looking.

Looks like you more than covered the batteries too (with what you found at the school).

You just covered one of my main likes about the machine. I get TWO 9 v. batteries for 97 cents at Wally World, use cheap headphones, and it takes a long time for one to wear out one battery. Heck, if I don't pay for the battery on ANY hunt it's a failure. Combine that with the quick response and recovery, plus fairly fast sweep speed and you can last quite some time.

three weeks straight of rain? where are you at and boy am I glad Im not there. must be some muddy digging:detecting:

East Texas in the Marshall, Longview area. AND it just finished another 3 day stint and I drove by one of the school tot lots and the back part was under water. To make matters worse, my sinus have flared up all this time, making me one miserable person.
