Started putting a few Civil War bullets in the relic box.....

My hand has been getting better over the last few days. I have almost half use of it back, but I won't be splitting any wood this week. :nono: Doctor finally called after 5 days and said it wasn't broke.

I decided to put a few relics in the relic box, I'm learning as I go. My idea was to use this thin, black wire, to hold the relics onto the display face. The only problem I can see as far as attaching relics would be like a round mini-ball. I may have to screw a small eye hook into the back of a couple mini-balls, attach the wire, and seat them from the back. I think it'll work.

Anyway, don't have a whole lot done, but wanted to give you an idea of what it's going to look like. I may ring the outside of the display with bullets, and work better relics in toward the center. Unfortunately, I don't have my centerpiece yet, which is a CSA belt buckle. Or better yet, Confederate officer's 2 piece buckle. Anyone happen to have one laying around? Now would be a good time for a contest.

... 2 dissimilar metals touching create electrolysis that will cause the relics to decay more over time. If you are wiring them, I'd spray coat the wire with plastidip clear spray. Just a thought.

Glad the hand is getting better. Nice case. contest?
