Way to go BH. I'm glad to see that there was finally some cuts somewhere in New England!! I was thinking of the beach this weekend myself. It was too nice, the ground was thawed and I hit a cellar hole a mile from my house that I've been working the past few summers. I scored a nice 1816 Coronet large copper and some colonial buttons. Couldn't pass up the opportunity to hunt land in the middle of January. I'll post on the minelab forum soon. Congrats on your great beach finds!

share with an old guy who only gets out once a month (hehehehehehehehe)??? Sounds like a good time. Can only think of a few places south of Rye that'll cut that deep! Just remember, every patch of sand in NH and MA was popular at the turn of the century. There are millions of old coins out there and they will never "dry up" for the handful of hunters who know how and when to find them.

WE ALL HAVE BEEN HAMMERING SALISBURY SO HARD THE LAST BUNCH OF STORMS WITH SLIM RESULTS. I'M UP THE BEACH MANY TIMES A WEEK CHECKING EVERY LITTLE SPOT FOR THE NEXT PATCH.I GO FROM RYE TO SALISBURY TRYING TO READ THE SIGNS. I'M IN NO HURRY TO SHARE THIS ONE!!!!

That's ok.....I'll find it (hehehehe). If I ever get the time to get out again, that is.

Did do some land hunting this weekend - picked up English hammered silver (Charles I penny, 1620's-1640's) on a colonial site that's also produced tree coins.

REALLY FOUND THIS CUT A WEEK LATE AND MISSED THE BEST OF IT!!ONE GOOD HIGH TIDE WILL UNCOVER ALOT MORE I THINK.WANT TO TRADE SOME BEACH CLAD FOR A PINE TREE SHILLING?? ALL WE GOT WERE COPPERS THIS SUMMER.B.BOB GOT A NICE CONN. COPPER OUT OF MY PARENTS YARD!!!I ONLY WALKED BY A MILLION TIMES!!THATS THE WAY IT GOES ...YOUR LUCKY OR NOT!!!

I agree with you there Scott. Wallis Sands is a good example as is York Beach area. I think there will always be old silver lying around all those beaches Rye up to York. Just gotta hit it right...

How EVERY beach in a 20 mile stretch of coast has a different kind of sand and responds differently to every different type of storm. I've been to figure it out for 15 years and I still have to guess which one to go to!

Wow, you guys did some traveling! You don't have to worry about me - your secret's safe and it's not within my commuting distance anyway!

Metaldig are you keeping score between minelab and whites? My money is on minelab. (especially if the minelab has duct tape on the upper shaft to fix it)

FOR HUNTS WE HAD TOGETHER. THAT DON'T INCLUDE MY WATER HUNTING LAKES IF YOU THROW THOSE GOLDS IN WHITES IS KING!! SHOOT B.BOB GOT MORE GOLD WITH MY OLD CLASSIC III THIS WEEKEND!!!IF YOU GOT A DECENT DETECTOR AND YOU LEARN IT WELL,THIS MATTERS MORE THAN ANYTHING!! PLUS LUCK!!!
