Started Email letter writing campain on Minelab.

Today I took the next step in resolving my Minelab warranty issue's. While this may not help my cause it certainly should help others.
I started with my home state Consumer Complaint Office. A short form online and its on its way. Next I contacted the BBB in Chicago
( https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/getstarted.aspx )Another short form online. Then I have send emails to each of the companies I have purchased Minelab detectors from in the pass. I have also contacted my credit card that I used to buy the detectors.
While this may not help my cause now if all chimed in and did the same this kind of poor service would stop for others in the future. I have never been one to do this type of action. I have always said what doesn't my complaining do to solve this issue. Its starts with one and then another and another and some one finally steps in. Do your part, do it now do it today!
Minelab became a member of the dynamic Codan Group of Companies. The parent company, Codan Limited I will be writing here next!

Good for you, Steve. It's a shame you have to take that route, but it is what it is. I'm taking my Excal out Friday (a little north of where I usually see you), and if it starts acting up again, I'm sending it back in. Matt

Try this....The Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureaus. I have included a link for a book that list companies in the U.S. and how to complain about them. It does not have a corporate contact for Minelabs but may help for other complaints. I would still try the two main ones (FTC, and BBB)

Buried Crap NJ, what a great idea, I have a sovereign GT with no problems as yet. I will keep this post so if in the future i have cause to use this email address, I will be prepared to file a complaint. Thanks again, GH, Don

Local mechanic blew engine due to bad timing belt settings. Wrote, before emails :), 14 of the top executives of the company what happened.
In 1 week I received a phone call stating they would fix my car, free of charge !!! I forget how many $1,000's of dollars. This was way back in the arly 90's.
A friend of mine years ago, told me to always start at the top of the company. Dont mess with the little guys. Make the Pres and VP's aware of your situation.
