Stand for Makro Racer

JEF

troll
I found a stand that works great on the Makro Racer. I purchased it on ebay from rods_by_plugger. He has an ebay store. It is actually for the Whites DFX, MXT, etc. but it fits the Makro Racer. I put a small hose clamp on the front and back just to keep the detector standing straight up and down. Without the clamp, it will turn a little sideways sometimes. It keeps the box about 4 1/2 inches off the ground. I tried to include a picture of my detector with the stand on it, but for some reason it did not work.

I'm going to try and attach a picture of my dectector with the stand on it again.

Nice..I have something like that and it really help the racer from rolling over..

Nice, I have two of those. Think I might try that. For now I've been running the covers and the unit likes to flop on its side. I'm real careful re the trigger switch. Unlike some detectors I would not drill a small hole through the detector rod to secure the stand with a screw. I'm sure the Racer has wires or ribbon cable running through the rod from the rear box to the display pod.
