Stand and shoulder harness for DFX - pics posted

I had some time on my hands and built a stand for my DFX and rigged a shoulder harness. Pics are here: DFX pics
Hope this helps someone. I got these ideas from forums like this.

Peace, O. J.

That is a nice looking stand but it looks like it could add quite a bit of weight. Someone looking for a stand, White's sells one for $5 that is much lighter:

I might also suggest turning your "S" rod upward as shown in the instruction manual, I think you will get better balance when swinging the coil and less fatigue.

My DFX is getting a little heavy after swing a Whites of some kind for 23 years. I have been looking for a cheap way to hang it. As I normally hunt demo sites or areas where use a modified sharp-shooter because of bad knees.

That is a cool looking stand O.J.

I recently bought the one from White's, pictured in Larry's post, and like it alot. Keeps my DFX out of the dirt and morning dew. And, as far as weight, I don't even know it is there.

I like your "hanger".

Thanks to all for the replies. I think it cost me about $15 for everything. I did not know about the White's stand - thanks for that tip! Having said that, I had too much time on my hands and wanted to make something.

Also, I am embarrasses to admit that I did have the S rod backwards. I will reverse it and try it out. I am very grateful, Larry.

Thanks to all!
