St Louis Missouri Commemorative coin / token

I hunted a new spot today and it was some really weird ground . There must be a spring under it. The ground was soaking wet . I left foot impressions in it . Other grounds I hunted today were hard as cement . I found about 20 modern coins using the Vaquero with stock coil and heavy on the discrimination . The coins I found were all deep , no surface finds . I think older coins probably sunk in the bog to far for the machine to reach , so I hunted quickly and cherry picked to see what the ground would give up . The very first coin I found was this Jefferson Memorial . The reverse has the St . Louis Arch on it so its not very old . I honestly thought i had a badly tarnished silver dollar at first .

Hay nice token , the arch on the back is in St loise i know its made of stainless steel i don't know when they built that have to find out . you have interesting ground conditions try the bliss V 5 for the deep ones

well when you find out what it is , Get one hay i found out how old the arch is (The Gateway Arch was designed by Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen in 1947; construction began on February 12, 1963, and was completed on October 28, 1965, for $13 million (equivalent to $180 million in 2013). The monument opened to the public on June 10, 1967.) so the token is after 1963 i was born December 17 1963 so that thing is very old > I know monty is older I think he was detecting when i was just out of the birth canal

LOL ! googled Bliss V 5 and looked at the images . If I could get my hands on one of those I wouldnt have time for metal detecting. I'd probably be dead within a week .

In 1982 I visited that arch, and went to the tope in a little capsule..really cool. Could there be a broken water pipe under the ground...could be a spring, but if in a built up area, could be a broken water pipe. Nice find btw.
