St. Augustine

Good Morning Everyone!

As I sit looking out my window at 4-6 projected inches of the white stuff falling, my mind is wandering toward a June beach vacation. We are looking at St. Augustine, Florida. I can't find any concrete information about the legality of detecting there. I was at the Outer Banks last year and had to drive 45 minutes or so to find a beach to hunt.

Does anyone have any information or can anyone point me in the direction to find anything about the legalities of detecting around St. Augustine?

Thanks,
LW

Come on spring .......

I am going there in July. I called the police department and it is OK to detect. Their is some Fed land north of the city which would be off limits like the outer banks and the person I spoke with said she was not sure about the beaches north where it is a state park. Sand is really hard packed so you will need a good scoop, was there last summer.

Take care
Bob

I lived in the area last summer. Seemed to be quit a bit of beach erosion at St. Augustine Beach. That could be a good or bad thing I guess.
