St Augustine, Florida Mother's Day

Mother's Day is coming and I called my mother and asked her what she would like to do, didn't know. I asked her if she would like to metal detect (I remember her commenting when I bought my second detector). She thought that was a great idea. So I am taking her to St Augustine Beach, along with my dad. The wife and daughter will sleep in at the hotel.

So any suggestions for St Augstine Beach? Any off limit areas? ( I grew up in Orange Park and spent a lot of time at the beach, but never metal detect - Man!!!!!! that was 30 years ago)
