st augustine beach

A few months ago I spent one day , about 6 hrs. hunting the beach about 3 miles south of the St. Augustine pier. There were a few condos but no crowd in that area. It is a wide beach at low tide, it was sanded in when I was there but I managed to get some clad coins and a couple of junk pieces of jewelry. If you hunt nearer the pier you should do better. I hunt with an Excal. had no problems with false signals. Good luck and HH

Havent been there this season but found a beautiful chanel ear ring that had 24 diamonds in it along with the usual clad coins and such last summer.
Good luck and stick to where the people are plentiful. There are a few shipwrecks of the coast to, so who knows.
