SST on the beach

Has anyone used their SST on the wet beach sand?

If so, how did it do?

Better than the AT Pro?

Get a CZ-20. Best beach detector for the money and built like a tank! Can get a good use one for under 500.00.

I have not used mine on a salt beach.
On a Tahoe beach where the black sand is so bad it overloads the loop if put close to the sand I was able to back down the sens to 6 and get the coil right close to the sand.
I was only able to punch about three inches into the sand as that was the deepest target I dug. The SSt did allot better at handling black sand than my G2 does. My G2 seems to get in about a 1 to 1/12 inches.
I know there is deeper targets on this beach but even my friend with a etrac comes out shy of good targets and its a very popular beach.

All and all the SST handles hot ground like a champ. Next I have to try my SD 2200v2 and see if it will punch through this stuff but I was trying to avoid that, I would prefer a VLF.

First, let me just say I am not a Double-D coil fan so I don't use the 6X10 DD often. I really only used it several years ago when doing a lot of coil comparisons with an MXT and M6. For ]me, on both the high mineral freshwater river beaches near Portland, Oregon and on the Oregon coast, I did better in target detection and responsiveness as well ass depth using a round Concentric coil.

I hunted a fair amount at the coastal beach with the M6 (basically what they kind of stripped down to rename the SST), mainly using the stock 950 for coverage on the wide-open beach, but also the 6
