SS Umax Coil Question

I just traded for a nice Silver Sabre Umax. I am planning on keeping this detector in my truck all times as a back-up Ghostowner and to check out new places. It came with the stock 8" coil with hole in the center. I was wondering if there was a better coil to maybe squeeze an extra inch of depth. Say like a Troy 7" etc. I will pick-up a 4" or 5.75" for trash but was wondering about an all around coil for general use. I love the light weight of this little beauty.

I know what you mean, those uMax units will make a believer out of you. If it were me I'd leave 'ol "Round Brownie" on there. You're not using the SSuMax to find every treasure this side of the Andes, just as a test and sample unit, right? So test and sample, to your hearts content.

If you find enough stuff with that umax SS to warrant it (maybe the "Best of Breed," IMHO), THEN bring back the big guns after you have cleaned out the obvious stuff with the Silve Sabre.

Trouble is, you may get ruined by that little gem and find that you use it more than you think you will.
