SS scoop question

John(Tx)

New member
I use a RTG 6" MONSTER STAINLESS STEEL WATER SCOOP (709). Has anyone actually cut of the SS handle and attached a wooden handle on this scoop? Would this be a good idea? Thanks for any info. HH

Just so your handle can remain up-right?
Buy a new Diamond head, or the other guys.

You can do what you want, it's your scoop.
But, many hunters will take a pass when you want to sell it.
bottom line, don't screw-it-up. ;)

Holy crap no!!! Why on earth would you do that? Replace an extremely durable part with one that is prone to breaking and needs to be replaced often? Here's a hint.... If you are trying to get the "floating handle".... that handle is hollow! Pull the grip off and stuff a section of pool noodle down that handle and replace the grip.

If you really want a wood handle scoop, sell your monster and buy a lesser scoop.
