Had a choice between boat fishing for squid, river fishing for trout, or a BBQ.........the pics show what I chose!
The fishing net pulling people were there again.
Saw a guy trying to tan just his legs - had a tunnel-like sunshade for his upper body - never seen one of those before.
At the end of June I'll probably switch to hunting during the week rather than the weekends. Numbers of people are naturally less (at least before the end of July, when the school vacations start) and there are less people drinking - think I must have 'met' every one of them today! The only one that made himself useful was the one who wanted to test his ring under the coil and in the sand. He had a nice thick platinum and gold ring which came in as Nickel/Ptab on the Ace 150.
On the way to the car I tried a spot that doesn't have too much trash, the sand is quite soft and dry too. I think the nicest sand of the whole beach. Put the sensitivity up to 4 (usually at 3) and had a good time with some coins and the two chunky silver rings. Didn't notice it until I got back and started to clean them, but both have the same star shaped design on them.
Will take the Sea Hunter Mark II with the big coil there next time and see how many goodies I have missed.
Results:
1162 yen in coins (about US$10)
Game machine token
A silver cross
Part of a silver bracelet with a little 18K in the middle of each section - well, haven't seen much gold recently so even a speck is nice!
Four silver rings
Rain on the way for much of next week - probably get the edge of a typhoon too. Early for the year. Also, we are heading into the rainy season.....
