hunt before I head to MO on Monday. The finds were few and far between but it was still fun. I found two interesting pieces, the rectangle lead piece lower right has a cross in the center of the rust looking spot. I have seen one before somewhere anyone reconize it? Also, I think the round lead might be the lead backing to a plate, can anyone else see the inpression of a "U" to the right of the hole (see close up)?

If you flip it over, the "U" would be on the correct side. Look for; 1. any remnants of iron (boxplate) or 2. green patina indicating beltplate hooks (brass). Also check the edges closely. There could be the tell-tale signs of the plate edge. Good hunting, David
