Spur of the moment field hunt a few good finds

I was outside in my front yard with my GT doing a slow sweep messin with my sen,s. when a friend stopped and said he was going down the road to detect Johnny,s potato,s fields did i want to go i said you bet i just grabbed my gear and a few soda,s in 5 minutes we were there ,Johnny just plowed one of the old fields i have found a lot of KGII coppers and lots of buttons in the past ,today was ok no real oldies but ill take a 1905 V nickle ,a buffalo nickle no date ,a 1800,s bee hive copper thimble and a few broken spoons copper , i found a huge heavy round disk i said OMG a Spanish reale or a cob !!!! nope lol its a round flat piece of lead ,it started to get dark so we packed up left tomorrow we will hit that field for a few hours . I took a few photos , By the way the GT was working prefect today nice and cool dirt was pretty clean not to much iron and the GT was hitting deep most of the finds, i was using the 10" coil . Nice going Jim. a couple old nickles is a pretty good hunt in my book.

I hope to get out this weekend - did an after-work hunt today for a short while; not much found, some clad and usual trash, but the conditions were good after the rain like you described.
