The size of a nickle and from Singapore!:rofl: A 53d wheat and a bunch of clad and a pair of earrings stamped 950..

OK, So I hit a local school thats closed for Spring Break, fire up the 70 like usual running light at the edge of the snowpiles...first thing I noticed, NO fresh drops! Bad sign...
Second thing was the 70 was not acting right at all...sure I was finding, but the signals were just not right...then I remembered, the machine still thought I was in Georgia where I last used it!
I found a clear patch of ground and GB'd it at 70 and everything was as it should be...
I hit the football field, clean dirt, jacked up sens to 55 and going really slow, trying to focus on pattern and coil control until the muscle memory comes back from such a long time off! It was 34 degrees, windy, and spitting rain/sleet concoction...I got a strange signal out in front of where the cheerleaders jump around, and any strange hard to pinpoint signal at that location bears a look, could be a chain!...these two earrings were 4"deep..I got one, rescanned, and got the other...got a few small multidenom spills, coins on edge, stragglers...hunting for gold, got a Canadian nickel too, buttons, tabs foil, etc.....I'll hunt tomorrow, maybe another school, maybe a few totters, or maybe even over to the Community College...just gonna wing it and drive around drinking coffee and listening to the radio!.
We got 131" of snow this winter, and these piles need to melt to really work them good, ground is very cold and has ice crystals/mud in it which messes with a signal too for some reason, and makes stabbing a little delicate....Anyway, I hope you all get out tomorrow and find something really great! :detecting:

Careful, that 70 isn't water proof! By gosh, am glad to see you got and got the itch scratched a little. Man, that is a lot of snowfall. Hopefully for you its now all sunshine and lollipops. HH jim tn

That's really neat finding both earrings!

Mud it going to start getting hotter and hotter here and a lot nicer where you are. I dread the heat and hard ground that Summer brings us.
