The Shiloh Spring Civil War Relic & Coin Hunt will
be Saturday, May 7, 2005. This is America's largest
seeded Relic & Coin Hunt and is open to the public.
The event is sponsored by Freeman's Battery Forrest's
Artillery Camp 1939, Sons of Confederate Veterans. We
will meet at Shiloh Civil War Relics located at 4730
Highway 22 Shiloh, Tennessee 38376
(731-689-4114)between 7:00 A.M. & 9:00 A.M. We will
depart for the hunt after registering. The hunt will
begin at 10:00 A.M. WITH THE FIRING OF AN ORIGINAL
CIVIL WAR CANNON. We will break for lunch from 12:00
P.M. to 1:15 P.M. The afternoon hunt will start at
1:15 P.M. and last until 3:15 P.M. All high dollar
prizes will be represented by a numbered item and
awarded after the hunt. If you find a numbered item,
you will select a numbered disk by drawing in order of
the numbered item found. The disk will have a number
on the back, which will match the number of the prize
you have won. Any high dollar prize not found will be
given away by a drawing after the hunt.
All profit goes to purchase a Confederate
monument and support projects of the Sons of
Confederate Veterans.
THIS EVENT WILL BE HELD RAIN OR SHINE!!!
Lunch is available (BBQ SANDWICH, BAKED BEANS,
SLAW, CHIPS, HOME MADE DESERT & DRINKS) priced at

Get a bud or two and come on down. It takes place on Saturday; rain or shine. If you have the time, Shiloh Nat'l Military Park is not far and well worth the trip. Riley has one of the most outstanding private collections of CW Artillery guns and gives a free tour. He would love to hear about your big dig (cannonballs). Shiloh Relics is near the Park entrance and another great place to visit. Let me know if you can make it and I'll see you there. Good hunting, David @ Dixie
