Spray-on coil cover???

Just an idea, perhaps a bad one. Wonder if some type of spray-on material, like that bedliner stuff would add a little protection to a coil? If they made something like that, one size would fit all..........As I said, just a thought. In the meantime, I'm going to use mine until it quits, or I do, which ever comes first.

Best stuff I have found is the plastic coat rubber paint, used to dip tool handles in or for anything that you want a rubber paint job on.

I use a sponge and dab it on the bottom of my coils, last a long time, easy to touch up a bad spot if need be, and if you should want it peela off easy.

I cover my coils from the weld spot on the side dpwn and across bottom. Can post a pic. if you need.

Well, now that you mention it, I guess it would be a good idea to make sure the paint isn't lead-base, or the detector would think it's in a field of bullets. Anyway, good posts!

Why not paint the bottom with some 5 minute epoxy? But to be honest I would just hunt with it without a cover or coating.
