spray on bedliner for coils-does it degrade performanceand depth ?

I do not know what is in spray on bed liner are thear metals in it that may efect the depth of detection , has anyone used this on the bottoms of coils and noticed any diffrence in performance just checking befor i spray any on my coil thanks Gunnar

Instead of bedliner, think of trying a "leak fixer spray". They come in both black and white colors and are basically all rubber or latex material.

Shouldnt affect depth no more than a cover which is 1/8 plus the air gap.

I use the spray on Rust-Oleum Truck Bed Coating on all my coils once they are out of warranty. I have not noticed any issues with loss of depth or interference. It's nice to lose the little bit of weight, and definitely an improvement to not have to constantly clean out the coil cover. Some of these covers fit so darn tight I have resorted to using an air gun to take them off :rage:.

Before you spray your coils test the paint or coating on a piece of cardboard and then check it out with your detector to see if any metal is present. I also use Rust-Oleum. If you have any sand scoops spray them also where you put your foot. HH :minelab:
