Spoon find...how do I identify?

Don't have a pic yet, but found a spoon in an area of a local park that was rumored to have been a CW Union Encampment. Over the last two days, I have found numerous rusted rings of varying sizes, an axe/hatchet head, numerous shards of white china (no markings) and at the 4-5 inch level have found some clay brick pieces....The spoon itself has on the backmark area on the thin handle an arrow pointing to the bowl and a space then an arrow pointing toward the handle end. There could be a word or mark between but can't make it out. Any help would be appreciated. Dave Poche, I guess I am going to have to add your campsite book to my collection. To my knowledge this land has not had any homes on it, it has been a park since about 1910, and was a private forested area prior to that.
Happy hunting and enjoy the softened ground!

(By the way, I have the bug bad, anybody consider letting me tag along some weekend? I have an XLT and have been spending most of my time in the Library and computer doing research.)

Thanks for buying the book. You might get luck and find your backmark at this site:
