Spooky Encounter Tonight

Tonight (9 PM Pacific Time) I was out metal detecting a park near my house which I have been to several times before( usually at night park close at 11 pm). This is a fairly large park with 3 soccer fields and a huge TOT lot in the middle of the park. While walking to the TOT lot, I saw a small figure running from one corner to another. I figure someone must be there with there son or daughter. As I got to the TOT lot I shinned my flashlight all over the field/lot and couldn't find anyone no adults or kid anywhere, so I started detecting the lot and a small light skin Black kid( he was about 3 ft tall small little kid) without any jacket on pop out from nowhere. I asked him where his parents were and he said no daddy just mommy...strange he didn't blink his eyes when I shine my bright led flashlight into his face. He pointed his finger on the direction of the soccer field and walked off. Spooky man.. I shined my flash light as far as I could and there's was no one there. I detected for 30 mins an left. I ran across gang banger and drug dealer at night before they didn't scare me, but this is unreal. Let me know what you guys think.

Hmm, I would have tried to get the little boy back home or tried to find the mother. Maybe let the authorities know what you saw and ask their opinion on the matter. You didn't mention how old he appeared to be, but 3 feet doesn't seem to be very old at all and he shouldn't be in a place like that after dark from the sounds of it. That is right out in left field if you ask me in any case.

If you think this was a spirit of some kind, then I would do a history check on the park and missing children from that area. And yes their are spirits that manifest for one reason or another and this is where you need to rule that part out. it doens't happen very often, but it does happen asiandigger. Their was a reason he came to you asiandigger, and you should follow up on it, just don't allow yourself to be manipulated by it though if it does try.

Mark the point of contact where you saw the child and where he pointed to.

I know this is a "deep" comment here asiandigger, but was the little boy trying to reach out for help from you, or trying to tell you something (Give a message of some kind).

The whole scene you described above AD, theirs nothing "normal" about it, and why you should look into it a bit further. As mentioned, maybe talk to the authorities about it to just get their opinion on what you saw.

This is the way I have approached these types of occrances that have happened to me in the past asiandigger, and this is my suggestion to you.

I hunt in the woods a lot and have been followed by some spooky guys who would hide behind trees when I looked back. Sad to say this but I now carry a CLOCK PISTOL (HAVE A VIRGINIA CARRY PERMIT) WHEN I METAL DETECT IN THE WOODS.
YOUR NOT SAFE ANYMORE. ALWAYS LOOK AT YOUR SURROUNDINGS. THE WORLD ISN'T WHAT IT USE TOO BE.

Yeah now that I'm looking back on this, I didn't think much about it till now. I think he's about 3 to 4 years old, strange thing is he doesn't seem normal..everything happened so fast, he came out of nowhere and 10 second later he disappear into the dark field (Note there's no lighting there at all). Could be he's a lost spirit looking for his mom, I know there's just no way anyone would leave there little ones in the park alone. If I get a chance again tonight I'll go back around the same time to check it out again. Thanks guys for the info

Be careful! I found a lost boy once, back in 1980...

I was fishing below the 10th street dam in St Cloud MN, it got to be midnight, there was a small boy crying by the dam parking area...Now this was before cellphones, also at that time there was a large Hmong community in this city...and the little boy was Hmong, didnt speak any english, he was scared etc. so he got into my car and I drove over to that area of town to see if he would recognize anything...sure enough, he got all excited and pointed for me to turn down one street...as I did, there were the cops and all the kids Family and a lot of the Hmong community out in the street! He jumped out of my car and ran up to his distraught folks, about then, I thought...this could go really bad for poor me...well, of course the cops wanted to hear the details...the kids Family thanked me profusely...so it went good...but It could have gone very bad...
A fellow has to be super careful around children now a days, ghosts or otherwise......you dont know what somebody else will think of your intentions.

In todays society dictated driven enforcement, one could ,and would, be viewed as suspicious immediately..

It would fall on your being able to prove what you were doing with the child.. After the Press, and tabloid type news reporting we have today ...you would always have some think you were guilty of something..

You would probably be better off...Observing the child , call the police and have them respond ..

Spooky is the word for it, but if he's real and not a spirit, I would have called the police to see where his Mama was. He's way to young to be out by himself. Mud, you're right. Sometimes good deeds can become nightmares. Happy hunting and stay safe.

I went back last night didn't see anything..just got me wondering..it might just be a kid out with his mother. He was probably told to go and play in the TOT lot. Thanks for all the advice and concerns.

At this time of year and 9PM by himself? Most parts of the Americas at the moment are around or below the freezing mark AD. I don't know where you live, but it's even cold in my neck of the woods (vancouver). I guess my point is a child that's only 3 or 4 years old playing In a Pitch Black play ground at this time of year isn't "normal" in any way shape or form.

It's entirely up to you on how you handle this AD, but personally speaking here, I would have at least talked to the authorities about this "Bizzare" occurance you encountered that night.

I'm in California. It's was probably around 50 to 60 at night and around 65 to 73 in the day time. I went back several times and didn't see anything or anyone, but the hair on the back of my head still stands up when I'm there.
