Spinner ring and a gold thingy!

Goldstrike

Well-known member
I detected this religious spinner ring today from a local park and this gold colored (it's magnetic) unidentified 'block' which I don't think is alien or extraterrestrial in nature!!lol I really wished both the ring and the block were 18K but no, not this time!! Maybe next time:thumbup:!

any holes or bumps on the gold thing? Maybe off a musical instrument? Never seen a ring like that before, interesting. CO

Thanks for your comments! I don't know what this thing is but it's magnetic and is heavy for it's size! I haven't seen anything like it either! BTW there are no marks on it.

I know this sounds out of this world but do you think possibly it could have been
some con-artist that tried to pass that off as a gold piece, plating it with gold over
steel?

It's possible that someone wanted to pass it off as gold. I have met individuals over the years, usually in grocery store parking lots that have 'gold' jewellery at a steal of a deal but with a little inspection, you know it's plated. There are a lot of honest and trusting people though that get suckered in and good money is exchanged for junk. Even when it has a K14,18 22 etc; mark stamped in it, there is no guarantee it's the real deal. A cursory Ebay search will give you all the gold and silver stamps you want.
There is nothing like finding, holding and drooling over a nice solid gold ring or a piece of solid gold jewellery to get the adrenalin and good vibes flowing! Can I get an 'Amen'? lol!!!! Happy Thanksgiving everyone and here's to closing the year out with some REAL golden finds!!:clapping:
