Sping Lake Evacuees.......

Lil Brother

New member
have arrived here in central Arkansas. I came home from work a little early and decided to drive by. I instinctively pulled into the camp,(like I knew what I was doing), got out and walked up to a makeshift tent that someone called an office.

I signed in and told them that I would be back later tonight to volunteer. (Lots to be done), I had seen two men fishing at the church camp lake before I pulled in. As I was leaving, I saw them again and parked my truck. I got out and introduced myself, telling them that I had always caught a lot of catfish on the other side of the lake by the dorm. "Right over off that point where that bald spot is on the ground."

One man ask me what I caught them on and I replied back, "Chicken Liver". The oldest of the two shook his head in disgust and said, "I told you thats what we needed." I ask what they were using to fish with and again the oldest said,"This is all we have." It was 2 rod and reels, each equipped with a crappie jig. I told them that I would bring them some liver, sinkers, hooks, etc....when I came back.

They introduced themselves to me, the older ones name was James while the younger ones name was Willie. James said, "You guys are sure doing a fine job" but little did he know that I hadn't started yet.

I'm on my way to Walmart to buy chicken liver and other misc. things so I better get going. This experience is going to be a HUGE blessing to ME....I can tell already.

Peace,

Lil Brother:super:
