Monday,I had this episode of a muscle cramp- like happening in the left side of my neck,followed by extreme neck painimmediately,and by Tuesday numbness on the left side of my face.Wednesday, the numbness got worse,so off to the hospital went Mrs.Phelps and I.
......At hospital,they tell me facial numbness is a sign of stroke ,among other symptoms,so they 'invited' me to stay as a guest,while they ran 'a few' tests:CAT scan,MRI,ECHOGRAM ON MY HEART AND ARTERIES,6 vials of blood,X Rays.....Diagnosis is Bell's Palsy,caused by the same virus that brings us shingles,yikes.Treatable with meds,should be 100 % ok.My wife Marcia was scared and crying,I told her not to worry,God will see us thru!!!Amen,Folks at Mercy hospital in Muskegon were great folks,made some new friends,and I talked to my roommate about Jesus.Thank you,Lord,for seeing us through,once more,amen!!I found out thru all them tests that I am in REALLY GREAT SHAPE,yay!!
