overslept by 2 hours, so i headed north to virgin territory - R I G H T...........everywhere i go i see these two guys - i think they have a tent set up down here on the beach - they never work anymore - I am surrounded by fishers...........where are all my excal. guys Help

i think we all had a good time today..........i did manage to find one meager little lion's head something - silver

the cut we had last night is still in place and very high in some areas..........i took two pics. of my scoop laying up against the cut for comparison - scoop is 4ft long.

maybe hunt this evening, but the sky here now is dark as my lion's head right not.............looks spooky

Thanks for the pics - nice scenery. The pic with the sand scoop wondering why the handle about half way up and perpendicular to the shaft. Does that help in digging?

I see you're on the beach hunting site now that you have a water machine :)

Yes, that perpendicular handle helps... I see he put another one perpendicular toward the back. That's what I'm going to have to do. Right now, I'm having some problems with my left elbow from digging deepies in the wet sand. (I broke my elbow about 24 years ago and it's just starting to be a pain again.) I'm going to have to see if the additional handle will help or I'm going to have to swing lefty and dig righty for a while...

works great in the shallow and damp as well, but in the waves is where it really shines

i have two on my alum scoop now.............the second on is up closer to the top and i use it to bracke my arm between it and the lower one in the waves...........

i do not uses the alum. one much in the waves...........it is light (good in some respects) and gets tossed around by the waves when trying to get to the sand

so i use the S/S beast.............real nice scoop, comes in just under 9 lbs.

max

You're right. Now on this one, Christian and the Fisher one. Gotta go where the answers are :):

Thanks for the input. I'm still playing around with the PVC scoop I made. Just added a magnet to it today which I think will stay for a long time - unlike the ones that fell off already.

God bless you and Vicky - tell her we all said HI VICKY!
