Spent 6 hours in the water today.....very nice overcast day with clear water and no waves at all...theirs also no tourist. You could steer a oil tanker through the swim zones...I actually did find 2 rings today, one was for a guy throwing a football...titanium wedding band flew off...along comes the only MDer out there(funny how that works out)...I could tell they were looking for something from a distance, and once one of them saw me they all started to wave me over...easy find only the second target, handshake from all and on my way....My other good find....for the good of all, was the open Husky knife in knee deep water... and lots of trash....small silver ring, first bottle other than a beer...copper elastic braclet,$1.31,hoop,sinker.....not much to post but the effort...I'll take it..HH GL

Hey still nice finds and you probable had fun. That's all that counts. Here the weather is starting to get colder and I have to have sinus surgery this coming Tuesday so I wont be diving for awhile. I will switch to wading afterwards unless we get a warm spell. I will have lots of time for detecting since I am getting laid off after 11 years with the county. I cant complain I at least had a good year of water detecting with SD.:nopity:

Ya done good Bob!!

Nice relaxing days, fresh air and sunshine, interaction with other beach folk and a great hobby as icing on the cake!!

Does it get any better than that??

A keeper or two helps, but is not necessary for the hunt to be a good one.

GL&HH Friend,

CJ

You did good Bob, heck if for no other reason but to get that knife out of the sand, That would sure enough ruin a day in the water my friend. Thankfully the two folding knives I found were closed.

Congrats on the silver and enjoy your weekend,

Lakota

P.S. yeah Bob I hunt our freshwater swim beaches barefoot, if I'm out in open fishing waters I wear my old Bates SWAT boots.
