Spent 3-1/2hrs in search of the surfgod today - will continue again at surfchurch :) :)

Hit the lane today at 35th street, as I am walking down the boardwalk step to the beach, look down and all around the bottom step are pennies and pull tabs just laying on the beach-----------------------looks like I found somewhat else who does not likem. I have never seen any one do this before here-----------------makes one wonder-------------any they are all still in the same spot.

For u GT / elite / Xs guys for anyone interested in a kinda interesting detector bag. I got the idea from tony of tidewater, he used a

Prime season is April to October and beach hunting access is restricted to off hours during that time (10 am till 5 pm can be a problem if the parks guys decide to be sticky, but they leave you alone if you are out in the water). March is usually beautiful though (mid January thru February sucks with rain, wind and temps in the 60's) but it is a relative thing I suppose. Those pics of Fred and Tony shivering in their down filled coats brought back some bad memories of life in the Great White North, BRRR!.

Thinking of taking a vacation Max?

Cheers,

BDA:cool:

Max, as soon as it's warm enough to get out of these neoprene gloves I'm going to start carrying my camera. Maybe the readers of this forum will be able to see more pictures of you then.

Do you have a portfolio of old pictures? I'd like to see them some time.

Finding a bag with a spare Sovereign battery in it!

Nice.

my mother visited there in the 40's and she always talked about how nice it was.

your season is about the same as ours, i thought it might be seeing as u are kinda just east of us..........so to speak.

now time..............so u can not detect from 10am to 5pm on the beach right
but
the water is allowed during this time?

Generally speaking yes. It's fairly laid back about most things but if you are percieved as interfering with other tourists then somebody may make trouble for you. It's not so much a rule as a guideline, like most things on this rock called Bermuda.
What causes problems is people dry/wetsanding and leaving holes for others to trip in. I've never had a problem in the year that I have been detecting here but it has a lot to do with how you approach things. Bermudians are REALLY BIG on being polite so if you are just as polite or more so you won't have a problem. Nothing you can't handle Max. Charm and good manners will often take you where the rules say you can't go.

Cheers Mate,

BDA:cool:

PS: the weather has sucked here for the last month, gales, rain and cool but come March it will be another story all together

Typically yes, but not much help lately as it seems to have sanded in most of the targets lately. It would help if I got out more often but too busy at work just now.

Great photos Max! I was heading up your way along the beach and heard the dreaded wailing of the batteries in my Sov dying, so I turned around and headed back south. I managed to make it to about 25th street before turning back. I mainly found a bit of junk, coins, and a couple pieces of nitro. I plan on heading back out today for another spin.
