Spectrum & Classic III ?

I just picked up an Eagle Spectrum and a Classic III SL with Mr. Bill mods. I have the 9.5" Blue Max 800, and Blue Max 350 coils. Would i gain anything over this combo by getting either an MXT Pro or M6 for coin and jewelry hunting at schools and parks mainly?

I don't think so. The Spectrum will pretty much do everything the M6 or MXT will do and the Classic III will usually out perform all when hunting nail and iron infested sites. I think your two will do very well for you. It's a nice combination.

Thanks Tom. If it ever stops raining here i hope to get out and try them out. I had an Eagle Spectrum a while back, so i know pretty much how to set it up and the Classic is great as a turn on and go unit.

We have some pretty highly mineralized soil here in western Oregon. Will either of them be capable of 8" on a dime? In the ground, not air.

I live in the HiIlsboro area and have used both for years, still have and use a Spectrum and a Mr. Bill Classic IDX. Short answer if you are around Hillsboro, 8" on a dime....... NO.

I feel safe in saying an M6 or MXT won't see a dime at 8" in Roseburg any better than the Spectrum (set up properly) or the Modified Classic III.
