Special Easter Find

SAGITTARIUS

New member
Today, I found my Mom's thin 14K Blue Bonnet wedding ring lost in the mid 50's . I had hunted her back yard many times over the last forty years with many detectors. My Sovereign Elite with the WOT coil, Ratphones and modified Pistol Probe contributed to the find. I was in disc with control set to 0, notch off and sensitivity at 3 o'clock. It was about 8" deep and signal was very weak. I first thought it was a 22 casing and almost gave up on it. It was a special day for me and my 93 year old mother.

I forgot to mention that Clive James Clynick's book "Finding Gold, Silver and Coins with the Minelab Sovereign and Excalibur" was a tremendous help in finding this ring.

She happily placed it on her finger and repeatedly thanked me. Later she wanted to know where it was found. My sister and I walked her out to the yard and showed her the hole where I found it. After thinking more about it, we determined it was lost in the late 40's. My father had placed the ring on her finger in 1936.
