Speaking of coin finds and coin values....

....someone told me today that if I find any 2009 dimes in my hunts, or in my change, that I should hold on to them cuz they are going to be worth something. When I asked why, the lady said that a customer of hers, a coin collector, said there were not many dimes made in '09 and that he would personally give $3.00 for everyone she gives him. :surprised: Whats up with that, anyone here up to speed on coinage that can verify that or comment on it? And yes, I have seperated all the '09s I have from the rest.....for now. Thanks.
Ken.

Now you got me looking. Here's an article that explains whats up. http://mintnewsblog.com/2009/04/2009-jefferson-nickels-and-roosevelt/

2009's do have a lower mintage .... but it is still 146,000,000 of the P's and D's combined. I don't see them being worth anything more than a dime. Unless they were referring to silver dimes ..
