Speaking of can signals!!!!

Old Pirate

New member
Did a hoodie park here a couple of weeks back and found this bling. It's CZ so don't get all wet!

925 at 25.6 grams at 4 inches at kind of a 45 degree angle. I thought it was another chunk of can or automotive trim piece. I dig a lot of those!

Don't pass up those can signals!!!!

Very nice chunk of silver, occasionally diggin those "big junk" signals do pay off. I dug a sterling (catholic?) crucifix a while back that was absent of our Christ, I figured a kid pried him off.

Huge! :clapping:
I'm sure you know this already Ed, but I'll just type it up maybe for somebodies benefit...

Once a guy finds a medallion with the bale not broken, like on that big cross, the chain it was on might be very nearby...something that big was on a big chain, and it should be a fairly decent although trashy signal, if it was on a silver chain, most likely will sound similar to one of those aluminum wires that holds chainlink to a pole....now if for some reason that was on a gold chain...well then, go after any signal in a 20' radius of where you found that monster!

FWIW, I found a junk metal cross earlier this year on a field, about 4" deep, solid signal, and the bale was intact...about 3' away I got a crappy signal and pulled the chain, it was 925...i would have never dug that crappy chain signal if it was all alone...

mudpuppy,

Man you were reading my mind deja vu from the 16th! I did about a 6 or 7 foot radius of the area with nothing but trash pulls. Unfortunately the cross was about 2 feet from a street sidewalk edge and I suspect that the chain landed on the sidewalk. But don't you worry, I'm planning a trip back there but this time turning it up to 32 and becoming a turtle.
