For those that hates the coward coming out from the side of the unit and getting in the way , xterra 70, 705, and others. Make an 1/4" stereo extentions coard that plugs into the unit and goes down the shaft to the back bottom of the arm rest and make.a 90 degree bracket that mounts to the underside bracket bolt and mount 1/4" chassis mount stereo plug.
Now you plug your headphones in it and the coard runs down your back and plugs into the mount and stays out of the way.

You can get them at radio shack for just a few dollars.

I made another change to it this week. I added a female plugs on the bottom of the shaft toward the rear of the head facing the plug to rear and it is not wired in. It is there so when I wast to use the regular speaker I just unplug the extentions from the box and plug it into the dummy plug and that way the coard end is not flopping everywhere. It just make it much neater.
