From the land of the Bluenose.....4 hours and 23 car lots later I was ready for a dig. Man that sure is stressful looking at autos especial when your knowledge is limited to putting the key in and driving away. Narrowed it down to 6 choices to replace Goquickski in the price range that offers no strain. Brother-in-law Steve will make the selection tomorrow as he is a mechanic plus the fact that if anything goes wrong with it he will be the one doctoring it back to health!

With that taken care of (domestics done before venturing out) it way off to the big tree that I have been hammering since French Dave , Max, the biligual wonder dog and I did the dew there finding all the large coppers.

With a light mist and the fog I felt in my element and merrily swung the old Garrett while daydreaming of a new set of wheels. A loud belltone announced that the hunt was a foot with the first target being a fishing lure. No wonder as I had started the hunt by the deep pool on the river.

After that find it was to the area of the old stone well

to try my luck which proved to be a better move than anything I could do on the dance floor as I managed a few toasty large coppers and this little silver number.

With my Rambo Swinging Combat Jacket weighing a zillion pounds from all the water it soaked up and my feet wetter then a gaspereau swimming up stream it was time to head home but not before I picked up Bud and a dozen of his relatives to help me celebrate this bouy's turning 53! Take for the day was a button, fishing lure, two dewies, the Spanish coin, 3 toasty coppers and 6 clad @ $0.86

"gaspereau," Les? Wassat?

Super day, old man, and congrats on beating the Sickle Swinger for another year. Your tales do wonders for my smile...

Like that Spanish coin. So what six choices did you narrow it down to? Yeah car shopping sucks. When I got my last one I just told the dealer what I wanted and when he got one in like that to give me a call. Took about three weeks before he called and he had what I wanted at the price I wanted to pay. Beats the hell out of traipsing from one lot to another. Good luck.
