Any ideas as to what/where/when this coin is? Thanks for looking...
 
Cool find! What's the story behind it?
 
YOu are going to have to throw that one in a tumbler for a bit or use some baking soda on it. Does it test silver? Pretty thin for a cob.

Electrolysis!
 
Electralicis tends to pit some areas if left on to long and tumblers can reduce definition if in to long as well. So try baking soadpaste or my fav is BAR KEEPER FRIEND. Less may be better to see what you have.
 
I suggest that you boil in in Hot Water and then take a couple of tooth pick's and scrub the surface. It might bring out some details- goldnugget
