soverign meter 180 mod

Could someone explain what is the "180 mod" as it
applies to the Soverign Elite? I have experience
with Sunray meter and "180" calibration.</span>

As you know the stock Minelab meter reads the 550 numbers. What was done is these meter by changing a resisitor and changing the adjustable callibration control will read as the 180 numbers the SunRay meters did.
Here is the link to give you more info

I have looked at the "guts" of the stock meter and the mod can be done with ease if you are into that kind of thing. The face of the meter has to be removed. Four screws secure the plate, a nut secures the variable resistore that is on the back of the meter that then will free a small circuit card that is housed in the meter. It is very simple to replace the resistors and then put the thing back together.
