What's the Maximum depth on the Soverign GT at the beach? And are there any settings on the GT that will go deaper? Thanks Fotofinish2

With the Sovereign GT the depth will depend a lot on how well you know the detector. To begin with you will want to work more on knowing the tones and going slow to get the depth as i feel the slower you go the deeper you will go. Now once you hear the deep signal then it is swinging the coil just over that target with may be only a inch at a time, but going just over that target the tone will try to lock on. On land I have seen 10-12 inch coin often and some even deeper, but these are very weak signal. If you want depth you have to run manual sensitivity and go real slow sometimes in order for the detector to see the real deep ones. Also depth is not everything either and by going slow and listening you can hear many good target that have been mask by trash and others have missed.
