Soverign and relics...

Was wondering if anyone could comment on how the Soverign/excalibur does in the relic fields/woods?
Will this detector sound off good in discrimination over shells/cannon balls?
Thanks

They do an outstanding job. I've been using Sov's since 1992 and have dug many relics and shells. The key to shell hunting is to use All Metal. Good hunting, David @ Dixie

Thanks for the responce. Was wondering if anyone ever used them on relics. I will be using a excalibur which from what I hear is a soverign.
Are you saying they will not pick up in the dicriminate mode and you must use all metal? How deep will the 8" coil on say a 12lber.
Do you service and sell acessories for the excalibur such as the battery case?
thanks
