Member
hello everybody i'm an hour old on this site!
i have had an xs2 for quite a while.could anyone tell me to what extent is it water proof?
thanks for the help
john

The only thing on a XS2 that is waterproof is the coil, and it depends on the type of coil.
The BBS series are waterproof but some others are not. The main box and meter are not
waterproof or even resistant.

Yes, if the coil is waterproof, which most of them are. Many people wear the control box around their neck and do shallow water hunting. In theory, as long as the control box and meter stay dry, your good to go. I'd probally not go deeper than a couple of feet. And don't stumble and fall, it would be all over.

What model coil do you have?

Im not exactly sure, but its the model which came with the XS-2 when i bought it, if thats any help. Its a Double D, in black, and a bit larger than my hand.
would it show the model type anywhere on it?
