Sovereign vs Excalibur are the coils interchangeable?

I saw a good deal on a 18" Excelerator coil for a Sovereign, it's submersible but can it be used on an Excalibur? Isn't the Excalibur just an underwater sovereign?

Sure, you can use it, but it's awful darn big. And heavy. And it is not going to swing easy in the water.

It's like swinging a pizza box. I would not go any larger than a 12 because I can still pick up dimes and pull tabs with my 12 inch Excelerator coil

So you like the 12.5 too.

Really like it in cleaner quieter places. Particularly in dry dirt.
