Hi everyone I'm after pictures of stands for straight shafts
Here in Ireland its nearly always raining so the fields are always wet & muddy so I'm after ideas on stands and how to mount them as the control box sits right at the back of the shaft
if anyone has any ideas please post pictures or if you no any sites were i can get ideas it would be a great help thanks in advance of replies

Here is one I had on one of my straight shafts I tried. The other one I have tried and like too is a snap on one, but dont have a picture of it in my computer. The snap on one just snaps on and when you get it where you like it you can put a screw in it to hold it in place if you want, or just leave it the way it is. These were sold though Dave at Dixie detectors the same as the straight shaft were and will fit many differnt detector that uses the same size shaft as the Sovereigns. I have one of the clamp on ones on my GT and MXT and used one on my Teknetics T-2 when I had it and worked great.

This isn't the best pic but it's the best one I have... it work's very well. I added a small folded piece of upholstery fabric between the clamp and the shaft. Use your iminagination and make one...

I made me a pvc stand, mine is simular to the one in the posted pic below but I melted the pipe to get the 45 degree angle, not sure what they did but maybe the same thing, heres a post of someone saleing them

I made mine out of 1/2 PVC and it works very well.It cost me about $7.00 for the glue and everything, and about 1/2 hr.to cut and glue. What I used: 3/4" reducer T to 1/2" sawed lengthwise.Everything from here down is 1/2".Next: 2 1/4"long pipe to a T then to 45degree elbows,to 1 3/4" pipes,to end caps.Use two of the plastic ties to secure the split tee to the shaft. You can make it higher or lower by useing longer or shorter pipes. hey now I like this one alot because if it rolls over it still looks like it will be kelp from the dirt or sand>>>> where can you get one like this from?????

Make one.........

The detector can be sitting tilted as far as 45 degrees without rolling over with a 12.5" coil.
The detector will get dirty if it does fall over.

All you need is a strip of aluminum from the hardware store, a hacksaw, a drill , and some pop rivets & rivet tool.
Nuts and bolts are needed also.

Takes some careful measuring and bending.

Can be reversed so that the stand is towards the connector end of the box if you want. You only need to be sure that the stand does not get in the way when you need to remove the battery pack.

Made this one on a rainy afternoon.

A vise , a hammer, and a square...........
Very important to keep the metal square in the vise when you bend it if you don't want it to turn out crooked.
