Sovereign silver warble?

HaroldILL.

I was wondering does the Sovereign have the silver coin warble like the Explorer models? I know the tones are longer it seems as I have not had one ,But had friends that did. But is it a longer type warble? Also does it have the modulated audio to tell the deeper weaker tones from shallower ones? And lastly are the XS models as deep as the newer ones? Thanks.

Whether you'd call it a warble or not I don't know, but silver has a slightly softer/sweeter sound to it than clad if it's been in the ground a long time and not something you are air testing. I've dug silver with my GT that I just knew was going to be silver because the sound was just so sweet. Like anything else being able to hear that slight difference comes with practice. It is there, though. The Sovereign has the best, most telling, audio of any machine I've ever owned. You'll find it reports the characteristics of a target more than the shorter response of other machines. In fact, I've not used a machine that had such long drawn out descriptive audio. For instance, gold rings have a warm, round, soft, less harsh sound to them than a lot of junk does. Junk often will sound harsh, tinny, hollow, scratchy, etc. Of course these aren't hard and fast rules and I'm not saying it's easy to develope an ear for things, just like with any other machine.

Yes, the audio is modulated in that the deeper it gets the lower the volume.

Most say all the Sovereign models get about the same amount of depth, but some say the GT is just a tad bit deeper.

Harold they sound close but the Sov doesnt have the Explorer warble. The Explorer has more tones than the Sov, a wider range, but the Sovs tones are indeed rich sounding.
Im suprised you didnt know this one Critter since you have had so many Explorers.

NO. I dont under stand what this warble sound is. Its more like, INK. INK. INK. I know this because i have the sovereign and the explorer and i know them vary well.

I use a Sovereign XS, which of course is a older model. To me it does have a Silver sound when you do the Sovereign Wiggle over a target. Maybe the older models are more pronouced with this than the newer models.

I know the Explorer has a warble to silver but I don't think I"d describe the Sovereign's silver audio as a warble. More like soft and sweet sounding.
