sovereign or x-terra 70 ???

well guys,,want your input,,fancy an x-terra 70, but cant quite push myself to get the g,t, out of my head,,,would you or would you not ,,at the same price buy one,,or the other???? wodjasay

If you are not hunting the salt beaches then definitely the xterra. I also have many years on both machines.

Skip the Sovereign, I had a NEW one for as lon as it took to unpack it, try it in my test site, pack it back up and sold it on Ebay. If you like ungodly flute music, get one. I have the Xterra 70 and as far as I'm concerned, it BEATS it hands down in all areas, especialy depth!!!!

Kind of depends on where you are hunting and what you are looking for. Both are great detectors. Generally speaking, if I had to chose between one or the other.......let's see....... weight, balance, meter information, VFLEX, forgiving sweep speed? Did I mention weight and balance? HH Randy

I used to have a sovereign..great machine! I tadedit in on an XTerra 70...haven't looked back.

GT is a great machine but the X-Terra 705 is more versatile
