Sovereign nets 2 diamond rings in one hunt!

Ok...ok..... so the "diamond" is a baseball diamond and the "rings" are an earring and disney ring (both sterling).
Doesn't that count?....hehe

It is the first time I've found jewelry on a bball field
I've hunted this particular school yard before and never found much more than a couple bucks in change.

Not only did I find the jewelry, but the earth coughed up 3 mercs and one rosie. Of particular interest was the 1916 merc. After I saw the date I flipped it to see the mint mark......
Drum roll....."S"

Yeah what were the odds of a "D" anyhow....sniff

On the other hand, This was my best hunt for silver coinage, I found more silver than wheaties.
Silver jewelry is much easier to find than coins where I am at so I was particularly happy to see what the Sov can do in previously worked areas.

EP aka Q-man, if you look in your rear-view mirror, that speck in the distance would be me catching up to you...lol

lol ism,
I am thinking when I read the post, " man, he just snuffed out two diamond rings?" lol Yes, both of your "rings" count. Now you need to get back there & grid the tar out of where you found those silver dimes.
Wow, this place certainly has the potential of coughing up a 1916D....and nice job on the mercs and rosie! 4 silver dimes in one hunt?..... I see a massive duststorm rising and racing towards my car :)
Thanks for posting that just gave me the "fever" - Jim aka q-man

YOu just found a hot spot , now go in every angle like potluck said and you will turn op even more,

Gunnar, I wont be able to hunt till next weekend (school playground),
With the temps dropping, I think I will be bundled up like you were in your latest video.

These dimes were under 6 inches in the soil. One of the reasons I have concluded that there are coins
to be found in the particular area is I was struggling with EMI.

Cant say it was there in the 70's to 80's, but it would have raised havoc with the older detectors.
My deep dig signals sounded somewhat like a falsing signal of a nail. I couldn't get a repeatable signal with every sweep
but when I used pinpoint mode, the target was under the coil. That's where I really heard the EMI but the SOV did its JOB.

I am one happy camper with the SOV and you guys are awesome.
If it wasn't for reading your posts here I would have likely passed over some goodies.

 man, I love how you lure people into this place with the title.... really good. If you hunt half as good as you sell, you will be a rich person!

Thanks Park Pirate, Its been a while since I've been to the school. The weather hasn't been so good on the weekends here.

Tin Fin, ...Hey, even a blind squirrel will find an acorn once in a while...Grin.
This is an area I gave up on, I never found anything besides clad before trying the Sovereign GT.
That was last fall. I am still learning the GT but in the next few weeks I should be able to get back to the playground with better experience.

That is awesome! My first trip with my GT got me a wheat cent. Super finding those Mercs!!! Congratulations..............you got me stoked:detecting:!

Just dropped in to say hello, new to the forum. I just purchased my Excalibur ll 1000, upgrading from White's Beach Hunter 300id. Located in Seaside Park NJ. Sorry if this is not the correct location for a hello, but Iam learning from the post....Marty
